5. technologies used

5.1 Axavia database

If a customer account is created as part of a business relationship, this data is stored in our database. In addition, we automatically store data that we receive from your browser during your visit. This data will not be passed on to third parties without your express consent. 

5.2 Cookies

Our website uses so-called cookies. These are small text files that are stored on your end device with the help of the browser and do not cause any damage. We use cookies to make our website more user-friendly, effective and secure. Some cookies remain stored on your device until you delete them. Cookies enable us to recognize your browser on your next visit.

If you do not want this, you can set up your browser so that it informs you about the setting of cookies and you only allow this in individual cases. If you deactivate cookies, the functionality of our website may be restricted.

5.3 Newsletter and opt-out

Axavia sends out newsletters at regular intervals. With your consent (Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR), you agree to receive the newsletter. In order to provide you with targeted information, we also collect and process information provided voluntarily, such as your name, telephone number or company name.

To be removed from the Axavia mailing list, simply send an email to newsletter@axavia.com. Details on how to unsubscribe from the respective newsletter or the option to change data can also be found in each newsletter.

5.4 Mailworx

We use the mailworx software to send and analyze our newsletters. mailworx records the opening and clicking behavior. Specifically, the following information is tracked: time of delivery, time of opening, duration of opening, IP address of opening, e-mail program used (mail client), which link was clicked and the time of the click.

This data is stored and processed solely for the purpose of sending recipients customized and relevant content. This data is processed exclusively within the European Union and is not passed on to third parties or merged with other data. The data is stored until you unsubscribe from the newsletter.

5.5 Use of Google services

5.5.1 Google Analytics

This website uses Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google Inc ("Google"). Google Analytics uses cookies. The information generated by the cookies about your use of the website (including your IP address) will be transmitted to and stored by Google on servers in the United States for up to 26 months. Google will use this information for the purpose of evaluating your use of the website, compiling reports on website activity for website operators and providing other services relating to website activity and internet usage. Google may also transfer this information to third parties where required to do so by law, or where such third parties process the information on Google's behalf. We have activated the IP anonymization function on this website. As a result, your IP address will be shortened by Google within member states of the European Union or in other contracting states of the Agreement on the European Economic Area before being transmitted to the USA. Only in exceptional cases will the full IP address be transmitted to a Google server in the USA and shortened there. A transfer of the collected information to a third country without an adequate level of security cannot be ruled out.

With your express consent to the processing of cookies, you also consent to the possible processing of your data in the USA.

5.5.2 Google AdWords and Google Conversion Tracking

This website uses Google AdWords. AdWords is an online advertising program of Google Inc. or, for the European region, Google Ireland Limited. 

We use conversion tracking as part of Google AdWords. When you click on an ad placed by Google, a cookie is set for conversion tracking. These cookies lose their validity after 30 days and are not used to personally identify users. If the user visits certain pages of this website and the cookie has not yet expired, Google and we can recognize that the user clicked on the ad and was redirected to this page.

Each Google AdWords customer receives a different cookie. The cookies cannot be tracked via the websites of AdWords customers. The information collected using the conversion cookie is used to generate conversion statistics for AdWords customers who have opted for conversion tracking. Customers are told the total number of users who clicked on their ad and were redirected to a page with a conversion tracking tag. However, they do not receive any information that can be used to personally identify users. If you do not wish to participate in tracking, you can object to this use by deactivating the Google Conversion Tracking cookie via your Internet browser under user settings.

The storage of "conversion cookies" takes place on the basis of Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR. The website operator has a legitimate interest in analyzing user behavior in order to optimize both its website and its advertising.

You can set your browser so that you are informed about the setting of cookies and only allow cookies in individual cases, exclude the acceptance of cookies for certain cases or in general and activate the automatic deletion of cookies when closing the browser. 5.5.3 Google Web Fonts

We use Google WebFonts on our websites. The provider for the European region is Google Ireland Limited.

This site uses web fonts provided by Google for the uniform display of fonts. When you call up a page, your browser loads the required web fonts into your browser cache in order to display texts and fonts correctly.

For this purpose, the browser you are using must connect to Google's servers. As a result, Google becomes aware that our website has been accessed via your IP address.

The use of Google Web Fonts is in the interest of a uniform and appealing presentation of our online offers. This constitutes a legitimate interest within the meaning of Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR.

If your browser does not support web fonts, a standard font will be used by your computer.

5.6 Online application

You have the option of sending us an application online using our application form. In the course of your online application, we will collect and process your personal data for the purpose of carrying out the application process. We will only store the data relating to your application that you provide to us (in particular master data; communication data; if you provide it to us: certificates, additional qualifications, CV, desired salary, earliest possible starting date, any messages and contents of documents uploaded by you). As soon as the form is sent, the information will be forwarded to us.

The legal basis for the implementation of the application procedure is Art. 88 para. 1 GDPR in conjunction with Art. 88 para. 1 GDPR. § Section 26 para. 1 sentence 1 BDSG, for storage for future application procedures Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a) GDPR in conjunction with Art. 7 GDPR, Section 26 para. 2 BDSG. 

We store your data until the application process has been completed. After seven months, data relating to unsuccessful applications will be deleted. If you have given us your express consent to keep your data on file, we will store your applicant data until you withdraw your consent. Your personal data will not be transferred to a third country or to an international organization. You are not obliged to provide this personal data, but it is not possible to process your application without providing it.
